I'm not one for giving a business free publicity, but after reading some of the wierd reviews here I do feel that I have to comment on Falcone's. I lived in NYC for 22 years. After recently returning to OKC I was seriously bummed that I couldn't find any good pizza or any good NYC style pizza. Falcone's is the real deal It's an excellent pie. Yeah, it's a bit over priced, but it's an excellent pie. Sometimes the crust varies in thinness - but I assume that is based on different cooks. Anyhoo, keep it simple and experience a delicious NYC pie at Falcones. We're about to pick one up tonight actually and if it's not good, I'll let you know.
This place got its popularity in two ways and neither has to do with the food. First he was on the Sports Animal and second he was in a big fight with some yuppy Edmonights about his restaurant that was on the 5'oclock news. Other than that this place is nothing special at all. Many better options for less in all the metro.
Truth: I have made pizza for over 11 year. 5 in my home of OKC (mwc!!!!) I have worked for the finest in OKC, and the worst. I love my home and in all seriousness, Falcones does not have the right conduct nor ethics to feel at home here. I have seen many things in the pizza industry over the years, from Hemi's on 23rd, to McSalty's, the survivalists, to franchises of Domino's, Pizza Hut, and Little Ceasars come, grow and expand. I support local business over outsiders, but only if they are real. Danny Falcone, I told you not to come to my home town. Edmond is gone and so will be MWC. You are good, but you missed one thing. LOVE FOR THE GAME!!!!!! You are not welcome any more!!!!!!1 Sorry, good luck next time!!!!!!!
Just moved to OKC and have been searching for Boar's Head deli meats...finally found them at Falcone's. Can't stand to eat any other deli meats (too salty). Decided to take the family there for dinner. LOVED the pizza. Great NY style, big slice, crunchy crust. Husband had the meatball Bada Bing! sandwich. Loved the onions- sauteed in a spicy sauce. You can put them on anything! I put some on my cheese pizza. Canoli's looked good, will try next time, and have real spumoni on the menu. No frills, clean restaurant. Love the Godfather movie posters and Yankee room. Nice people. Can't wait to go back. Only complaint is it isn't closer to my house :-) !!!!!!!
I have been to all 3 Falcone's locations. Sometimes the pizza is good, and unfortunately sometimes the pizza is terrible. Especially at the Midwest City location. They can't seem to get the dough right... the pizza crust is gooey and hard all at the same time. Staff is usually friendly, but apparently incompetent. We've been pretty loyal customers, but the food was so bad last time I think it will be quite a while before we ever decide to go back.
If your willing to try Falcone's again, try the one in Bricktown. I have been there several times and have never had a single dissapointment. One of the best pizzaria's I have found since leaving my beloved Bison Creek Pizza in Seattle. I am pleased and full when I leave here. And I might add, you get what you pay for............Price and quality are very fair.
I am sorry to read reviews where so many people had bad experiences with Falcone's. We had dinner last night at the new Falcone's restaurant in Bethany. The food was delicious and the service very good. The atmosphere was friendly and helpful. I urge you to try Falcone's again.
Good, honest to God pizza. The garlic knots are the best friend of your slice. I like the place. I like that I can walk to the one on May from my house even more. The one in MWC isn't worth the time because they can't make garlic knots because they don't have a fryer. Um, get one, maybe? The owner dude, Danny, creeps me out and I feel uncomfortable if he happens to be in while I'm eating, but I just focus on my food and try to tune him out. It's easy to get lost in the gravy. I can't wait to try more of their deli items to take home. Yummy.
