I went to this restaurant on 8-1-11. I was really excited to try something new and have been waiting 8 months to try this restaurant. First stop when I went in was the restroom. It was hot in there and was a unisex bathroom. Not very clean. So, I over looked that, and went to get a table from the hostess. Place looked like a dump, dingy walls, paint missing in places, and all the tables and chairs were crammed together. So, we sat down and got our waters and drinks right away and put in our order. I ordered the house salad and my dad ordered the cheese fries. It took them a half an hour to bring out my salad, the kitchen doesn't even have to cook that....just throw some cheese and dressing on it and it should be good to go...wrong. Then, when i go to take a bite it is dry....i don't think they even put dressing on it. When I asked my server she said they did. She never really talked to us or checked on us. My dad needed ketchup and he waited until she came around to ask...by then the fries were cold. Then she forgot the ketchup and just grabbed it off this persons table that was sitting next to us. Very rude. When we got our entree (pizza) it was good but I live right by Stephaninia's which I wished I would've just went there, it is better food and a way better salad that actually has dressing on it that you can taste, better service by far too! So, at the beginning of my order I placed a to-go order of Veal Parmasan for my boyfriend. I told her to please have it ready when we paid our check or bringing it out with our meal would be fine too. So, me and dad finish eating and get the check and pay...still no to-go order. I finally get up and ask her because she never returns to our table again. I said, miss, do you know if our to-go order is ready? She stares at me blankly, DOESNT SAY ANYTHING, TURNS AROUND AND WALKS AWAY FROM ME....so I pack up all our stuff, two pizza boxes and a peice of pie that i am carrying around because she didn't give us a bag to put our to-go stuff in. I go to the kitchen and talk to this other lady to see if she can check on my to-go order. She was very polite and said that it is a busy monday night and it will be up soon. I said that is fine I understand...but our waitress didn't communicate at all with us. Like she was mute or something? She was very few with words. This lady at the kitchen i think talked with us more in 2 minutes then our server did the whole time we were there. So, we kind of wait by the hostess station to get our to-go food. I asked them for a bag and they were very nice and gave us one. We explained our evening with the unpleasant server and they appologized which wasn't there fault. So then we got our food finally and left. Go out to the car, parked one spot over from the dumpster, someone was parked on both sides of me, and cars in front of me. I had a ticket on my windsheild for parking in front of a fire hydrant? WTF! I even went to the car in the middle of the meal to get my cell phone and never saw this. When I parked the car i even waited to park here because someone was backing out, then someone was coming down the aisle to park so I turned my blinker on so i could park there. So, sh#tty service and a $100, thanks U City, go to support the community and try something new and I end up paying $175 plus gas to get down there. Oh, and the delmar exit was closed to get off here so I had to go to the Ladue exit and back track trying to get to the loop and ended up getting lost 3 times. Putting a service road running parallel with the highway would be easy for people to figure out, not in U City. Don't think i will return to this neighborhood. Screwing people over like this will may people not want to return...there are restaurants a dime a dozen out there, if you care about your community you will stop the outrageous parking ticket fees. All the other fees on the ticket were $20-$50 with this being the most expensive. BS I tell u!!!
