May go back.....: Made our first visit there last week. We got there before the dinner rush arrived (on a week night). We were seated right away, but no one came by for almost 15 minutes to see what we wanted to drink. There were still plenty of empty tables around us. It took a while in between drinks to get offered another. Our dinners took a little while longer than I expected, but it was good.
I think there may be a service issue here, other people I know didn't rate their overall experience all that high either.
Tip to management: Get a better wait staff.
Did return for a second time... had a different waitress which was better than the first. However half of my dinner was cold, was billed for something I didn't order, and my husband didn't get the correct side dish he ordered (both of which was corrected pretty quickly).
Update: Nov 2008
Everytime we go up to the bar it's a complete mess. On several occasions the bar was scattered with peanut shells, dirty empty glasses still on the bar after people left, and just general trash. The bartenders are in no rush to clean up. I've never seen more than 5 people at the bar more than once. My husband tired of waiting actually cleared off an area of the bar himself, and had to ask for a towel to wipe the bar down. This was even after he directly hinted to the bartender that the place was a mess. I don't know how the manager allows this to happen?? Inexperience on his behalf?
We only keep going back there because either the other local restaurants are too busy, or my husband really wants a steak. You really never know what you're going to get at this place.
