Flame & Skewers Mediterranean, Bakersfield

I chose this lunch spot because it was close to my required location for the day. I ordered the lamb kabob plate, requesting a rare preparation and was given order number 27. I received my order in less than 10 minutes and it was perfectly prepared. It became obvious that this is a popular spot because when I left an hour later, they were calling number 78 and there was still a line of people coming in the door. Glad I arrived when I did. I can highly recommend the food and the service.

Love this place, and try to eat there at least once a month. A local favorite.

TODAY MY NEPHEW BROUGHT LUNCH TO MY HOUSE FROM FLAME & SKEWERS FOR MY HUSBAND, DAUGHTER AND MYSELF; ABSOLUTELY DEVINE. CHICHEN, LAMB, AND BEEF GRILLED TO PERFECTION AND SEASONED DELICATELY BUT VERY TASTEFUL. THIS IS FIVE STAR QUILITY AND TASTE! OH YEA, AND DON'T FORGET DESSERT. BAKLAVA OUT OF THIS WORLD. This restaurant has really great food at an unbelievable price. You'll eat very well for under $10. I go here several times a week, and everyone I turn on to it love it. It sometimes takes a minute to get your food because it's so busy, but it is ALWAYS worth the wait. The shwarma sandwhiches are absolutely amazing, and on Fridays they have shrimp kebabs. They're a little more expensive, but they may very well be the best shrimp in the city of Bakersfield! Try it out.
