Piranha Killer Sushi
Piranha Killer Sushi presents a few of their dishes in such a beautiful manner you may not want to eat it. However, their artful creations taste even better than they look. Try their Chicken Yakitori with Bell Peppers & Onions, Spicy Scallops Sushi and Tri-Color Sashimi Roll. The service is fast and friendly.
I've had sushi all over this planet, if you like traditional standards you'll like this place. If you have friends or a better half that you're trying to help broaden their palate then you'll really like this place.
Unique, tasty, friendly atmosphere.
This is a great down town place to eat. The food was good and the service was good. Don't order drinks or wine unless you have got money to burn. The prices are just too high for a restaurant of this caliber. Make no mistake, the food was great, everything was done well, but the price of drinks? Save your money and go to 8.0 for a sip.
As far as sushi goes, Piranha's is the best in Fort Worth. As far as service goes, it's almost at 50/50 chance. Once, we had a phenomenal waiter: great timing, knew when to talk and when to refill quietly. The next time, not so much. The waitress dropped wasabi in my water, spilled a drink on my purse and rushed us out of the resturaunt. Prepare yourself for below par service and you might be pleasantly surprised. However, always prepare yourself for AWESOME sushi.
Best sushi in Fort Worth.
We have tried just about every sushi place around and this one is the winner. What's great is the free downtown parking garage located right there at 3rd & Taylor. You just park, ride the elevator down, then you are right in front of Piranha.
Anything you order will be spectacular but I would advise you at least split the tempura jalapeno appetizer. Jalapeno halves are stuffed with a light dollop of fluffy cream cheese then flash fried in tempura batter and served with a soy-garlic-chicken stock-chili paste sort of dipping sauce. It is amazing.
The hostesses aren't super-helpful or accurate with their wait-time predictions but if you can get past that, you are in for a treat.
Would be 5 stars but everytime the hostesses miscalculate the wait dramatically? For example, walk in and you will likely be told it will be an hour wait (when it is betweeen 9-10pm)...it is really only 10 minutes...need to be more efficient w/seating and cleaning tables...!
All I have to say is I am NEVER going to Piranha's again or will I recommend it to anyone! Twice I've gone and recieved HORRIBLE service! First time I went, I had to wait for an hour for my food. I ended up getting it to go. Second time, I spoke with 2 incompetent hostesses and a manager. Told them I need to make a reservation for a big party. Right after I spoke to them, they were looking through their clip board and no one said anything to me but were making reservations for people who walked in after me! What ever happened to customer service?? One of the hostesses took my name and number down. I come back an hr. later, turns out they didn't reserve me a table. My party and I had to wait 2 1/2 hrs. to be sat. It was not worth my time and money. Management was horrible.
