I thought the food was excellent, had the conch chowder and crab cakes, yum! For desert, the key lime pie which had honey on it! something you would never think of but it was great!! Atsmosphere was pleasant, definitely would go back again, you should try it if visiting Key West.
OMG!! delish! Found this place through a referral from a local. The shrimp blt was to die for. Excellent food, fast service & great atmosphere. Our server even took time to snap a group photo of my whole family under the sign.
Yuk! We had awful food. We ordered three items--local favorites-- conch chowder, peel and eat shrimp and conch fritters. The fritters were all dough (and we tasted a good selection from other restaurants while we were there). The conch chowder was okay. The flaver was decent, but it was watery and had some undistinguishable things in it that looked like they didn't belong. The final straw was the shrimp. The one on top was fresh, but it quickly became clear that the remainder were very old. The shrimp looked like it had sat in the sun for a day or two. We notified the waiter. He apologized, returned it to the kitchen and came back to inform us they had just gotten in a fresh shipment. Right! In the 5 minutes it took us to send it back a fresh shipment came in? I think not. Would not recommend it. There are lots of great places to eat in Key West. Red Fish Blue Fish is not one of them.
The food was great, but the service was awful. In fact, I haven't had such poor service in a very long time. The restaurant was virtually empty, and it took forever for any request given to our server. It got to the point where I actually went and refilled our drinks myself. We weren't the only table having this experience either.
