Harvest Moon Cafe, Sonoma

My husband and I went here as a special occasion for Christmas. We were very dressed up and were immediatelly dissapointed by the ambiance. We were sat in the back in between the bathroom & the kitchen where it was noisy and extremely hot. Our server was in a flannel and jeans and seemed stressed out and busy. He was not accomadating and we had to tell him when we were ready to order. The wine he suggested was over priced and bland. The salad we ordered had apples in it that were not cut fresh(soaked in lemon juice) and so the salad was very sour and unappetizing. I ordered the fish entree in which the fish was covered in chunks of lemon rhind that over powered the flavor of the fish and the lentils it sat on were extremely over salted and I only ate about half of the meal. My husband had the pork ragu in which he felt the spices were too bold and over powered the dish. For desert we ordered a brownie with peppermint ice cream. The brownie was dry and bland, the peppermint ice cream was great. That was the only thing we raved over the whole night. Overall, our experience here was extremely dissapointing! It was VERY expensive for the quality of service, ambiance, food, flavor, & wine. I do not recommend it.
