I tried and gave few chances to Taj India in Florence, KY expecting that the quality will be improved but very disappointed. And last two times, the food was spoiled. I tried Kheer (dessert made with Milk and rice) and after the first spoon I felt like vomiting. The other time it was the same story with Custard. Probably they dont know how to cook. Each and everything is so bad you cant even eat one bite of it. Its not worth even if its free. The ambiance is again awful, dirty, gloomy and very very old. And they dont know about customer care. When I was eating my dinner, one lady from management was talking over phone sitting on one of the benches and keeping her dirty shoes on the table. I will never go there and will try my best to stop others to go there. The worse Indian Restaurant I have ever seen...
I've been to the restaurant a couple of times. Not only is the food good, but the staff is pretty friendly. We also catered food for a party from the restaurant. Not only did they give what we ordered, but they also provided us with rice and an extremely delicious kheer for free!
The owner does a lot to please you. We went in with two people unfamiliar with Indian food and the owner made four platters with varying heats so we could all try the food. I told him I liked Saag (Soog?) Paneer and we ended up with that and a nice lamb dish (I usually stay away from lamb) chicken curry, a shrimp dish, chick peas, a potato dish, nan and it was really good. He even cooked up a Tika Marsala for my mom because some of the dishes were too spicy for her. She can handle absolutley NO heat AT ALL. So we had appetizers and desert for us all and it was very reasonable and good! Will go back!
I had the lunch buffet today and was very pleased. I asked the owner if he could give me some spices to heat up my Chicken Tikka Masala (from the buffet) and he went in the back and made me a spiced up version of the dish at no extra charge.
Food is always awesome here!
I was amazed to see the place so packed after its opening just days earlier. It is the ONLY Indian restaurant in Northern KY, and they are obviously serving an underserved territory.
The food is quite tasty. I recommend the chicken curry. The spiciness runs a little on the hot side, so order accordingly. The wait staff seems less experienced, but it is fantastic to have good Indian food here.
I was a little worried about trying new food but it surpassed all of my expectations! The service was top notch! The food was exotic and I had to force myself to stop eating.
The price was very reasonable as well, we will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to work there, it was owned by another person, i miss working there, because i could get free food and eat indian whenever i wanted.
