Bear with me. Ya know how you get the carving for a White Castle? This place is worse. Most places I think the Hummus is well just OK. Once you have the Hummus at Shiraz's it will ruin you for life and nothing eles will do. I get the craving every other day. If they open a store in Indiana I might just have to sell my kitchen. Oh yeah the rest of the menu is just as good. If you are looking for something to excite your taste buds this is it.
I was going to go to another restaurant but it was shut down and we were so lucky. We stopped by here on a whim and I am so glad that we did. The food is delicious, homemade, and original. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We started off with the hummus which is more than I could have asked for. It had tomatoes, olive oil, and olives and served with a wonderful flatbread. I bought tons of bread to be sure that I had enough! I had the Shiraz salad along with the hummus which was the perfect compliment. I would definitely get it again. We finished up with the Joojeh Kabobs which were chicken and was served with onions and flatbread. There was just the right amount of spiciness to the kabobs and I ate myself silly. I will definitely be going there again and I would recommend this to anybody. Make sure to tip!
We love this place, the food is great, the prices reasonable, and the staff is attentive and dare I say - loving. Food for your body and soul!
Tip the waiters cash, apparently there are some issues with the credit card tips.
Warning: This place is totally addictive. But, short of moving out of the area and having to undergo withdrawal, you won't experience any bad side effects.
This is my favorite place to eat in the United States. Not just Louisville. I've already stressed that if I move away I'll go through some serious withdrawal. I eat here as often as I can and I turn everyone I meet onto it. I love the chicken kabobs, the white rice is incredible and the tabbouleh - the best I've ever had. The owners are terrific people and I can only wish them growing and continued success! Long live Shiraz!
I live nearby and hadn't gotten a chance to try the place until a couple of weekends ago... I can't stop thinking about how good the food is! I just went back again yesterday, and the place is just so friendly and the food is so yummy! I love it!
