We were there last night. The cooks must have been having a bad night. Tried to order 2 fried rice with 2 of the meals as they were grabbing our bowls. Wasn't sure if they heard since there was no acknowledgement. I guess they did because the fried rice was dumped in with 3 of our meals. Whoever heard of cooking fried rice and noodles together anyway? If the cooks are going to be interacting with the public shouldn't they have some personality? The checkout guy (owner?) was a grump too.
The best and most authentic Mongolian BBQ in DFW area. It has a great variety + shrimp at evening meal and maybe all day Saturday. You get the meat and veggies you want and add the oils and condiments(they have suggested portions for this). Use this as a base to experiment from. Use different amounts of spices, oils for your next trip. You will find the perfect combo(the suggested is pretty good) after a few trips. Ghengis has so many options(spices & condiments) you would have to go for 100 years to figure out what blend would be suitable for your palate. Anyways, I've been eating Mongolian since 1973 in Taiwan(Republic of China) and it is my personal opinon you cannot go wrong with Ton's. I just miss the peanuts and throwing the shells in the floor.
Ton's is quite possibly the best restaurant ever. My best friends and I ate there every Saturday for 2 years. EVERY SATURDAY!!! We never had to order drinks, soups, etc...they always knew and brought them. Even after we moved away for a year and came back, the waitress said she had missed us, and brought our same old order. The food is fantastic, but the memories we made at those tables were way better. One tip, though: Get more food in your bowls than you think you need.....It cooks down, and you can't stop eating it
Best Mongolian Restaurant in the USA. Not that I have gone to all of them, but I can't imagine any other being better. Great fresh foods, veggies, meats, etc. Make sure you make your sauce in both bowls and fill them up. The grill chiefs use the sauce while cooking your food. If you don't put enough sauce in your bowls, they use water to keep the food from burning. You can also add fried rice and even eggs to your dish while they are cooking it, just tell your chef. Their hot and sour soup is to die for. Free ice cream at the end. Great place to eat. Have gone there over 20 times.
This place deserves 5 stars because it is excellent at what it does. You prepare each individual plate from a long line if ingrediants, like a salad bar, and they cook it in front of you on a large grill. Its a great place for an excellent, healthy meal, under $10!
Ton's is our favorite place. We go there at least every other weekend. We have been going there for years. We don't even have to tell the people that work there what we want, they already know! What excellent service!!! Great food - all you can eat, for a great price! See you tomorrow! :)
