I wonder if the previous two people to write a review have ever eaten out before? First off, the service always sucks, unless you come in during lunch hours. The bartender at that time (I am un-sheboyganised and will not use his name) is prompt and very friendly.
Outside of those times, you had better be prepared to wait for long periods before you even see a menu. Happens to me every single time and I tip at 20%, so there's no way that I'm blackballed there.
And then there's the case I when again gave Bourbon St. one last chance, this was about one week ago.
My girlfriend and I again waited several minutes before we were delivered the menu's that we had requested. I should note that the three other customers were not keeping this bartender busy at all.
At this point I am already livid that we even came back. When our food had arrived, I dug in to my sub and nearly cracked a tooth. The bun was so hard that when I flicked it with my finger, it hurt.
So I ate my sammy with no bun, hurriedly finished my beverage and asked for our bill. Since it seems that you receive service only if you are a regular or at least a friend of the staff. Again, getting upset with the service, I indicated that I would please like the bill promptly as we were going to a movie.
The server first smoked a cigarette and then proceeded to furnish the bill to the bartender who had managed to not deliver the bill after it was calculated, again taking time to visit with her friends and owners rather than handle this last time customer.
I have never in my life had such miserable service and it has happened time and time again. I would rather spend such time opening cans of Alpo with a Q-Tip as a dinner treat than to return to this joke of an establishment.
The End
Fin.
