Run by a friendly guy who knows how to cook. I stopped in the other day, had a good conversation with the guy that runs the place, and ordered a catfish dinner. When I got home, I opened it up, and the fillets were huge, crispy, and perfectly cooked. Not greasy at all. Good tasting catfish, dipped in a nonstandard batter - it contained more egg and flour than I'm used to, but it was a refreshing difference. I typically just use milk, egg, and corn meal. I welcome the change. The hush puppies are great, as is the cole slaw. I'm not too much for the pile of onions that come with it, as I like sweeter Vidalia onions, but some people like a strong onion. A great deal for the amount of fish you get, and it's great tasting stuff. Help out the underdog - don't go for the big chain places - try Flipperz!
