I found a piece of rusty metal in my food today from China Villa. It was like a staple or something about that size. We used to love this restaurant but then they changed ownership. After that, the service went downhill. Also, the dishes lacked a number of vegetables in them them after the change. When I asked how come they did not do water chestnuts and the other veggies anymore, they said it was too expensive. Then, I started wondering what else they might be cheaping-out on. After take out today with an incorrect order and finding metal in my food, we will never, ever be going back to this restaurant.
Thank Gosh for China Villa!!!: We moved to Rocklin about 7 years ago and our choice for Chinese Cuisine was JJ's Mongolian BBQ for a number of years. Then, about 3 years ago, China Villa moved into the corner on Lone Tree & Blue Oaks. We have been dining there ever since. They are fabulous! My kids love the orange chicken, while my wife and I typically eat the Eggplant in a Garlic sauce. Good stuff! I recommend this eatery.
Great food and wonderful service. The two servers are so nice and the drink refills keep coming. The salt/pepper calamari is great! Only thing I have had that I didn't care for was the seafood soup. Calamari was tough in it. All the other food is fresh, hot and wonderful. Everything has a distint flavor. We have been places that no matter what you order, it all taste the same. Not with this place. It all taste good.
Best Chinese food in the area. Eat there at least once a week. They know us now and our drinks are on the table before we get seated most of the time. Ray (owner) is a great guy and makes sure everything is to your liking. Ginny and Sow (SP) are great servers. They all make you feel welcomed. I've held 4 business luncheons there now and all with great success and raves from the attendees. Prices are very low/moderate. Hot/Sour soup is wonderful.
