The Jacksonville Landing
Situated on the St. Johns River, this riverside playground features great restaurants and shopping opportunities. Jacksonville Landing's facade is a famed part of the Jacksonville skyline. Clothing, gifts, music and more fill the shops and a food court and wide variety of restaurants stave off starvation. Outdoor concerts and special events take place regularly at the Landing, making it a favorite gathering spot in the city for visitors and locals out to eat, drink and dance the night away.

Anyone who thinks Jacksonville Landing is worth the time/energy need to travel! This place was not what I expected from reading previous reviews. The only thing this location has going for it, is the fact that it's cheap... personally, you get what you pay for.
I have been living in Jacksonville for one year now.i moved in from North Carolina. The Landing is the best clean family entertaining atmosphere i have been able to find here.A variety of food, folks and fun. It's also a great place to go and free your mind during all times of the week. Overlooking the beautiful waterfront site.My finace' and friends from Jamaica love it also.I highly recommend it.
A large group of us went to Mongos at the Jacksonville landing and had a very bad experience. Just a heads up to everyone. First it was very hot inside and smelled like dirty mop water. We were seated quickly only because the previous guests probably left without eating like we did. We ordered a drink after waiting about 10 minutes. The drink was ok, but when we asked for a straw, the waitress, who was sloppy and dirty, handed us unwrapped straws. Some of which had some kind of sauce on them from her hand. We asked if we could have some clean straws but waited so long for them we just drank out of the glasses. We went to look at the food bar and found an employee cleaning by taking the raw meats and vegetables and swooshing them off the dirty counter back into their appropriate containers. Actually the raw chicken was in with the raw beef and so on. At this point we decided not to eat. We went to look at the grill and found that to be filthy. Built up grease and grime along with napkins and food all over the floor. The staff there seemed to act as though it was a burden for them to clean anything, and didn't mind working in the filth. There were a few dirty, sloppy and unpleasant employees sloshing food around the grill while wiping the sweat from their foreheads. Maybe it was just a bad night for Mongos. Maybe you should try someplace else while at the Jacksonville landing. These resturants are too close to the water to take any chances at this one. Good luck!
I liked the service because they always paid attention. I liked the food especially itwas so good. The Mueseam also was well kept and pretty! I defitally want to go back to The Mueseam of Arts and I`m going to tell all my friends about it!
I would like to aquaint you all with the landing here in my home town real nice place to go always something going on.actually one of a few places for family activities that don't cost you an arm and leg
There are lots of restaurants at the Landing, but one in particular is amazing and very unique compared to any other restaurant I have ever been to. It is called MONGO's. It is a mongolian grill. It is a fun atmosphere. It is about $10 a person. basically, you get a bowl and go up to a buffet type table and fill your bowl with meat, seafood, veggies, etc. You add whatever seasonings you want and and choose a sauce then give it to the chefs. They put it on this HUGE circle grill and cook it up for you while you watch. It takes about 3 minutes. They put it on your plate and you go eat. It is AMAZING! DELICIOUS, something fun and different. They also serve rice with your food. Also, for dessert you can order Smores where they bring you marshmallows, graham crackers, Hershey's chocolate bars, roasting sticks, and your own little fire to roast them! So fun! The one for 2 people can easily feed 4-6 people. It is not a romantic restaurant but is fun whether it is a night out with friends, family, date, etc.
