When I first started going here, I loved it. The service was great and so was the food. For some reason, the quality of the food has declined terribly and the service leaves much to be desired. I have stopped eating there and I used to eat there often.
The salad bar needs to be upgraded with better ingredents and its often very dirty. The buffalo tenders are very good but you don't get enough of them. I also like the mini burgers. This place is OK nothing special. One of the weaker pub chains.
This is only the second time I have eaten at a Ruby Tuesdays.I had ordered the steak and rib combo, with the salad bar.Although the steak was tasty, and the ribs were good,I did not like the fact that you had to have the sides as they appeared on the menu and could not mix or match(this being mashed potatoes and broccoli). When I asked my server for gravy on my mashed potatoes,I was told that they did not have gravy. The first visit to the salad bar,I was impressed with the variety, but there were a couple of items completely empty and a couple of items VERY low. When I went up to the salad bar for a second time, there were five items completely empty and two more items VERY low.I could not understand this as there were plenty of staff around the area alot of the time and noboby was paying attention. The restaurant did not serve rolls or any type of bread with the meals, and quite honestly I felt the waitress was only there for the gratuity that she would receive when we left(which I was happy that it wasn't automatically included in the check).Although the food was average,I think it was overpriced for what we received.I base this from other restaurants that I frequent.I wiull not even give this restaurant chance, and it is quite possible that I will never visit another Ruby Tuesdays. One notable is that I would have requested to talk with the manager, but as I was with my father and knowing he would have been embarrassed,I decided not to.It is not uncommon for me to talk with the manager and to express my dining experience,be it positive or negative. As the owner of many restaurants,I invite my patrons to share their views with me,whether they were satisfied or dissatisfied.I always welcome customer feedback so I can improve for the next patron.
I go here alot when I go out, the prices are reasonable and the ribs are to die for. I highly reccomend trying the ribs here if you never have they are truly awesome!!! If you go to the one on Woodbury Avenue in Portsmouth ask for Patty she is the BEST server in the world!!!!
