10 North Main, Minot

Not stellar in NYC or Dallas, but easily best place in town. One of the only places my daughter likes. We go monthly. Good wine list, bartender can make an old-fashioned, negroni, etc... w/o using a guide book. Good steaks, venison. Hot and Angry pasta is good, similar to kung pao chicken.Only place in town I'll order seafood.The penne carbonara is fantastic, very rich and bacony. I've always had good service, and the desserts are very good, too.We go here monthly.

I've been to 10 North Main twice now. The first time was a very good experience and the wine and food were over priced yet still worth the good food and experience. The second time we had a not so great experience. First, we came dressed to the tee, (my fiance in a nice tux and I in my little black dress) yet we were seated in a booth where we litterally had to scoot and scoot to get in and out off. The waitress came in right away after we had gotten our menu and asked what we would like to drink. We just got the wine list so we were not yet ready so the waitress went away and didn't come back for a good long while. We ordered our appetizer, entree and drink. When the waitress came back with our sparkling white wine she tried to open the bottle and ended up dropping the bottle on the table and nearly got it all over my fiance's tux (If it were'nt for his quick reflexes i would have been). The waitress wiped up the the wine spilt all over the table, apologized and said she would get us a new bottle. We were never given a new bottle, my fiance went with out a napkin for the entire meal, and to add insult they took off $4 from our +$80 bill...$4?!... Im usually impressed by the service recieved from the hard working people of North Dakota (being from the East Coast) but I was more than disappointed with the service at 10. If something like this would have happened on the East Coast you better be damn sure they would have at the least gotten us a new bottle if not given us the wine and/or meal for free. It's a shame because the food is great but the servie will prevent me and anyone I can help from ever giving them business again.

My family was up in Minot for an airshow, having come in from NYC. Because it was my husband's birthday, I wanted to find somewhere nice to have dinner and 10 North Main was recommended. I had never visited North Dakota before, and I wasn't too sure about the recommendation because the locals also recommended places like Applebee's and Pizza Hut, knowing it was a special occasion. My whole family thought 10 North Main was exceptional. The food was excellent, the wine selection was quite good and the service was cheerful and efficient. The atmosphere, overall, was homey, and yet cool and attractive. It had a good selection of game, and the fish was very fresh. I would definitely recommend it.

10 North Main is a perfect 10! The food, the atmosphere, the impeccable service... every time! I just cannot believe the few negative reviews on this site. I have been there several times and it is a grand experience every time. It is not much more than any other spot in the area if you are looking for a nice meal. The quality and freshness of everything every time is making my mouth water just typing about it! Don't believe you are going to break the bank if you eat at 10 North Main... it's just not true! I cannot wait to go back MANY more times! Thank you 10 North Main for your secret jewel in Minot!

The only place in MINOT that knows how to make a good martini. There are only 2 good restaurants in MINOT. Michaels and 10.

A couple of experiences with 10 North Main. First time we went on a Tuesday and were asked if we had a reservation because they were booked. Restaurant was empty - Asked gal if she thought this was Rodeo Drive. Food was good, service OK, prices Way out There. Second time, again mid-week, again place empty. Ordered Ceasar Salad (my favorite). Lettuce was old and wilted, portion extremely small, no dressing (I guess they forgot). Service OK, food adequate, prices Way out there. Third time - reservations for 4 for birthday dinners. Had the reservations over 1 week in advance. Got there, after traveling 65 miles and were told the restaurant was closed for a private party. I made a stink and they finally let us in. Food poor - small portions, overcooked, unappealing. Presentation was very poor. Service - poor. Prices Way out There. The private party was upstairs - the downstairs was entirely empty. One of the owners was there and was a very rude and snobbish person. Moral or the story - save your money - eat at Applebees, Perkins, etc. You get better food, better service, and a better value for your dollar.

This restaurant is amazing. The food is great the service is top notch. One of the best steaks I have ever had. I know that there is a lot of hate out there because Josh Duhamel is part of the restaurant but I think that people should be proud that we have a restaurant like this in Minot and that Josh wanted to invest in the town he grew up in.

I think people don't understand what it costs to run a restaurant and that people are being waited on. This restaurant is trying to do something different. Although I havn't yet ate here I think this place is years ahead of minots current dining scene. weather this place's food is good or not is yet to be decided.
