Masa Restaurant, Tallahassee

I can only write this review from a sushi standpoint, given everytime I go there I only eat sushi. That out of the way, Masa makes great sushi. They have wonderful atmosphere and great service. My only negative comment would be towards the "Spicy Tuna" it has a distinctive taste that I don't know. An overwhelmingly fishy taste. This is a new recipe I believe. In the past I have ordered the spicy tuna and enjoyed it, but the past few times it has this new taste which indicates a recipe change to me. This may not be true but I'll wait a while before ordering it again. Other than that, great restaurant, especially for a date.

Delicious, delicious food. Makes me so happy to go somewhere and ask for the food on the menu to be vegetarian and get it! The sushi is incredible as well (its my one not a veggie food). The atmosphere isn't overbearing and the service for the most part tends to be good. Its my favorite place in town, its only flaw is that its a little pricey for me (but Im sure someone with a steady job thats not a student can swing it).

The food was great! I've only been there once about a week ago. But I definately plan to go back. I would recommend it to any and everyone! It was a little pricey, but comparable to other restaurants like it.

Masa is a wonderful Bistro. Please do NOT attend if you are looking for bargain sushi--you're better off going to Publix. The Sushi here is exceptional so expect to pay an exceptional price for it. I recommend the spicy cucumber rolls for non-fish eaters and the Hamachi (yellow tail) or Red snapper Nigiri rolls. The Mongolian beef or Bulgogi are great for lunch and you can get a plate for around $8 before 4pm. Dinner is a bit pricey but well worth it as long as you stay away from the tropical sweet & sour chicken (way too sweet to eat). For dessert don't pass up the plum wine ice cream--total heaven! I've always had prompt and polite service every time I've visited, even when there was a wait or they were really busy.

I LOVED IT!!!!!! I ALSO THINNK YOU TWO THAT REPLIED TO THIS SHOULD SHUT THE HELL UP BECAUSE NOBODY ASKED YOU... I BET THE MASA CREW SAW HOW UGLY YOU GUYS WERE AND DECIDED TO GIVE YOU THE SUSHI THAT WAS A YEAR OLD.... I AM A SUSHI MASTER!!!!!
