This pizza place features no atmosphere, no service and no seating. But if you are on the run and need a good slice, Joe's is the place to go. The pizza is available plain or with toppings. If you have a little more time, their other location is just down the street, with plenty of seats available. The pizza is just as good, and the atmosphere is definitely better.

Great slice...I actually think the cheese slice might be as good as the mozzarella slice but I have to admit that the mozzarella slice I had was already cold.

Although the Joe's Pizza places in California are terrible (it's the water!) You still can't beat it in NYC for the traditional slice!

"My favorite slice in the city. Thin crust, good mozzarella, sauce isn't too sweet or salty. And it's served piping hot. You go here for the pizza, not the ambiance. "

"When you get a slice right out of the oven it's pure heaven. Thinnest crust, freshest cheese. Yum."

"One of the best slices in the Village, produced efficiently in no-nonsense surroundings. The real stars, though, are the full pies with a wide range of toppings. Spinach and onion are personal favorites, but the mushrooms and pepperoni are excellent as well. If you need atmosphere, you can carry your pizza to Washington Square."
