Filo Pastries & Coffee, Asheville

This place is cool, has a friendly at home atmosphere. The inside is cute, they have a table that you can play chess at while you are there. I had a carrot cake cupcake, the icing was perfect. Not too sweet, and not too dense, or sugary. And the cake part was excellent, moist, and delicious. My wife had a piece of chocolate cake, which looked thick, but when I tasted it, it was light in texture and not too much of a chocolate flavor. The espresso was excellent too, I drink a quad everyday before work at starbucks, and Filo's was three times as tasty as starbucks. I'm a huge espresso fan, so this was a big deal to me. I like to think I'm a espresso purist, even though I drink it from 'Bucks. So go in, and enjoy their delicious pastries, and drink their perfect brewed espresso. You'll be happy when you leave! :)
