In 1978, Master chef Jimmy Chung moved from Taiwan and started cooking traditional Chinese food in New York City; he has been cooking Chinese food ever since. After meeting his wife, Melissa, they moved to Colorado and decided to open their own Chinese restaurant. In 1993, United Chinese Restaurant became a family owned restaurant that first originated in Westminster on 104th/Federal and has since moved to our current location in Broomfield in 1999. In 2006, the success of the Broomfield location has allowed us to expand and open a even bigger location in Thornton. Sushi has been added to our food selection at Thornton.
