Satomi Sushi, Fremont

this place has changed ownership a few times since i been here. But after last night s experience, this will be my last. Atmosphere and service is ok, no gripe, but the food is soooo bland (No taste), the fresh oyster (My favorite dish normally) had no flavor or any seasoning on them, only a hint of hot sauce. The taste of the food did not live up to the pricing of the food, just plain NO TASTE!!!! And they are not cheap. I don t know what these people are reviewing, but as the date says, its been a while since last reviewed. I don t mind paying top $$$ for good food, but tasteless food, i must VENT!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL, and review back to let others know how u feel!!!! I rate this place a one star for the taste of food, not atmosphere and service, which was ok.

I used to live minutes away from Japantown in San Jose, but since moving to Fremont. I have tried several local sushi bars and barnone this is the best. Gr8 vibe and prices are not bad as well.

Great place!! service and food are both good. They will come to greet you and refill your tea constantly without annoying you :) Not like other Japanese restaurants in the area (Korean or Taiwanese run one), they only show up to take your order and hand you the check. Sushi rolls are good. I like the Unagi Lover. They place the whole bbq eel on top of the California rolls.. Eel is tasty and fresh.

not only the waitresses, but the chefs also greet you cheerfully asyou walk in the door it is a small place, cozy and quiet might have a hard time getting a seat during busy nights, but i would say that the wait is worth it service is very good people are friendly and they check up on you without being annoying seems like they always look at your drinks, because of all the times i've been there, they would ask if i wanted a refill, not the other way around. food is great fresh and tasty, price is not bad when you consider the quality 5 stars

A small restaurant but they serve great food! I recommend this place if you like Japanese food. I will definitely go back!

Five stars all the way! Everything about this place is great. The sushi is always so fresh and tasty. The staff greet you as you walk in the door and treat you like old friends that they haven't seen in awhile. It's a small place but we've never had a problem getting seated. Wonderful staff, best sushi I've ever had and it's reasonably priced...I go here whenever I can! In fact, I'm going tonight!!!

I agree with all the other reviews. The food is very good, but what makes this place special are the owners KJ and Danny. They always make us feel like family. The restaurant is also very kid friendly. Easily the best sushi in Fremont......

If you Love Japanese food this is the best kept secret in the Bay Area. I was blown away by the Crunchy Rolls and by the friendly service. I used to live in San Francisco and I have been to some of the best Japanese resturants this is by far second to NONE!
