The Toasted Frog is a great restaurant. Lots of charm and very quaint. The food is fabulous and the service is tops.

If you are looking for a plain steak at a great value, then keep looking. If you want a unique dining experience, then say Hello to the Frog. You'll find an urban atmosphere and a diverse and interesting menu. Sides include sweet potato fries and wasabi garlic mashed potatoes. This is one restaurant where the specials live up to the name. It doesn't mean $1 off the pork chops, it could mean ostrich or mahi-mahi flown in that day. I search out caprese (tomato and mozzarella) salad everywhere I travel, and I've never had one 1/2 as good as the Frog's. I've certainly had some mediocre meals here, but its always fun to experiment with foods you normally wouldn't try. Even the martini menu is filled with fun options. The downside is the price - you'll drop $7+ for the martinis and about $20 for the special. If you think of dining as an experience, then you'll love it. If you want to pay $8 for a med well top sirloin and pay $2.50 for a beer, try the Speedway.

Unique

I like the Toasted Frog because it has different food than any other place in Grand Forks. You can even get frog legs (if you are daring enough)! I recommend the sweet potato fries.

Fun
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/21/09
The menu at the Toasted Frog is different than anywhere I have eaten in Grand Forks. The pizza is really good, we also had some type of appetizer that reminded me of dandelions!! Of course we had frog legs as well. They have fun and new things to try for many people.

This place has the worst service in the grand forks area. The food was good but if you want rude and unpleasant service go here, it will suit you. I've tried to go back many times, to only be treated in the same way by the employees. Benz

first of all, no kids allowed. i don't like to pay for babysitting just so that i can go out to eat in peace. but i think it did everyone a favor leaving them at a drop-in child care~ we enjoyed our datenight and i wasn't embarrassed about my kids acting up. the food was excellent. esp the shoestring sweet potato fries. in my opinion, it was too sweet & salty & spicy. but it was good, nonetheless. our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food, preparation, etc. friendly too. definitely should try if you're in grand forks

I have to say that this is the best restaurant I have been to in the Grand Forks area. I was hesitant to try the frog legs, but they were soooo good. You would enjoy the chicken wings, with the sauce they have, if you have a squeemish stomach. I have yet to eat something there that was anything but awesome. The steak..is definately drool worthy, and the atmosphere is very eclectic and interesting. Definately would go there every night of the week if i could afford it. :)
