The food and ambiance was excellent. The bartenders were nice. The crab cake tasted great. The coleslaw was an innovative recipe with little wonderful pieces of apple. My only problem was the smoking in the restaurant.

I had the crab cakes $28.00 The crab cakes were made form canned pasturized flake crab (not lump crab)poorly cooked wet and cold inside of the barely browned and bland cake. The sauce overly applied to rhe crab cakes spoiled the tasteless crab and rendered them innetable. The potato's were some kind of cheese potato in a pie crust that was over powering, it was like eating a block of strong tasting cheese, after one bite of the potato if the crab had any flavor you would never know it. The coleslaw was again over powering with a dressing that was poorly prepared. Start with good ingredients instead of trying to hide a low quality main course with bad tasting, poorly concieved complicated sauces and sides.

Eclectic food
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/08
The ambience is beautfiul and the food, which is ever changing is really attractively presented. It is fun to go here for a nice dinner and cross the street to Greektown Casino.

We took my mother there for her 50th birthday party. The servers were excellent and serviced in a reasonable time. The atmosphere was beautiful down to the appetizers. Pricey but normal for fine dinning.

Excellent service! and really delicious food. A group of friends and I went last night. I had the special of the day: whitefish. My friends had crab cakes, filet mignon, and lamb chops. We also ordered the Trio Temptation for appetizers. Everything was very, very good. The dishes were aesthetically pleasing as well as DELICIOUS. I had heard that the ladies' room is always very full but on Saturday evening (6-7ish) it was okay. There was an attendant ready to offer various toiletries in the ladies' room, however. Hassan, our waiter had great service. It seemed like he knew the menu well...but did the know the drinks as well.

Although the ambiance is impressive, cost performance is low. Service is rather slow and indifferent. The word "over" kept coming to mind on the few times I've been (only because I was invited by others): overly elaborate and pretentious menu descriptions of over-priced dishes that consist of once high quality meat and fish that is unfortunately overcooked and overwhelmed by overly flavored and confused sauces that have too much of everything in them. Examples - the scallops "dusted" with porcini mushrooms were overcooked, had very little porcini taste and were too salty; the oysters Rockefeller were all spinach and too much cheese overwhelming an overcooked oyster; the veal scallopine (or something like it) had an overpowering strong tomato sauce (or what they ostentatiously called tomato "relish") and consisted mostly of polenta with a little bit of veal; the accompaniment on the otherwise high quality foie gras was just way too sweet (a common problem with many of the dishes there); the pheasant, though inherently good, is also overwhelmed by an overly sweet and confused sauce. Let the ingredients come through, stop the pretension, and maybe I'll go back, but not before then.

Everything was wonderful, except the ladies room. Not enough stalls . The line was soooo long,. all I had to do was stand next to my table.

Elegante E Di Classe (Elegant & Classy)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/22/07
The food...Wha-La! The decor in the restaurant was superb. Even the bathroom had waterfall faucets that you'd only see a magazine. The staff was friendly, knowledgable and attentive. Plan to dig deep in that wallet but it's worth it as this place is the place to be.

Love it...
By Lisa J, 12/7/06
Will definitely go back, the comfortability level is great and food is excellent. In fact just booked another reservation for dinner, and you definitely get what you pay for, porportions and display. No complaints here.
