We used to love Sakura and the sushi is still good, but ever since they added the Hibachi the night time service has slowed down to a crawl. Tonight was the worst: the two of us who got sushi were served fairly quickly. The other two -- one ordered tuna terayaki and one ordered chicken tempura --- waited for 30 minutes after we got our food. When the tuna arrived it was leathery and overcooked, the tempura arrived another 5 minutes later, after the guy who was supposed to get it told the waitress if his food didn t arrive in 2 minutes were all leaving (the two of us who were served first were already finished eating even after sharing with the other two, and waiting for missing parts of our orders to appear). The tempura didn t look like tempura chicken it looked like overcooked chicken fingers, also inedible. At least they didn t charge us for the tuna and the chicken. We left to go to Thai Arroy so the other two folks could eat. They ordered new dinners and the other two of us had appetizers and coffee. At Thai Arroy the service was perfect, the meals came right on time and at the same time, no waiting and the food was fantastic. So that settles it. We ll continue being regulars at Thai Arroy but we re never going to Sakura again.
Excellent! Fresh, great presentation....what should have been served hot...arrived hot! Delicious. Tasty. The Sweet Potato Roll was out of this world. Great service...great memory! Will definitely visit again (and again, and again). :)
One of my favorites in the area. Low key atmosphere, good prices, great portions, the spicy tuna cocktail (tataki) is just about one of the best I've had. Dragon rolls are excellent and fun presentation.
