We're a family of 5, with 3 boys 11 & under -- this place really hit the spot! Not cheap -- but definitely worth it for us.

If you enjoyed Shogun in Mammoth, you will love Yamatani in Bishop. Salmon miso is fantastic.

This was one of the best Japanese restaurants that I have been to in California. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The price was expected as with any of the same kind of restaurant. The service was pretty good as well, I will defiantly keep going back,

Definetly amongst the top 5 places to eat in bishop. I was amazed by the freshness and high quality of their fish. It's become a routine for me to stop in and have a roll or two...

I visited Yamatani many times and the Hostess/server who was middle aged with long black hair was mean and disrespectful. On occastions, she was not there and all was wonderful! I really feel that businesses really need to examine the emloyees who represent them, it does make a difference. If they are not aware, then unfortunately, the business walks out the door never to return.
