I think it is a good place to go and have lunch or dinner with your friend. For the service, I think every elephant bar restaurants are same as it depends on who serve for you. I sometimes receive some ridiculous serve as the life goes. However, the food is always awesome with some new kind of food coming. If people do not focus on the service then this place is the best and the atmosphere is okay too.
This place has the worst customer service EVER!! not only are the waitress/ servers rude and un courtious when you request to speak with an manager you get the same service! I rate this location at 0 for customer service, food is ok but the attitudes in the atmosphere makes this place a very uncomfortable environment DONT GO THERE!!!! servers need traing when bringing food and drinks they constantly reach over your plates and cups i dont want your DNA in my food! please get some more training for your occupation!
Elephant bar is known for its great service and delicious dishes however, the one in Emeryville on bay street which just opened a couple of weeks ago has a lot to improve on.
Their service department (servers) need to be more aware of their customers' needs such as taking the correct order and following up with the customer to make sure that they got what they ordered and to make sure that everything is going to their liking during their meal. I dont recommend for people to sit in the bar area why you may ask? Well, most likely the bartender will end up being your server and forget about you as more people come in sit in the bar area.
Trainers need to teach new servers the importance of customer service and to pay attention to detail when it comes to taking the correct order and making sure that the client is enjoying their time at Elephant bar. remember that you are in an area that is surrounded by a lot of businesses that are looking foward to new restaurants and great service.
