The beer is very much OVERPRICED. A stout is $6 for a pint, that is a lot for the area. In addition, it is very much a chain place and feels like one. We wanted a mixed drink in a pint glass and were told it can't be served that way. The food is average.
My husband and I eat dinner here everytime we stay at the Chateau or go to NE Furniture Mart. They have so many great beers on tap and good margaritas and mojitos. You wouldn't think a place like this would have good food but their KC Strip is excelllent. We've also liked the chicken nachos, enchilada stack, and brownie dessert. It's nice to sit outside or if you enjoy sitting at the bar, the bartenders are fun to talk to... very knowlegable about all of the beers.
I tried three things tonight and I didn't like anything. I did like the fries and the french onion soup, but I tried a seared ahi tuna sandwich on rye that was just awful. The tuna was very poor quality and had lots of cartilage that was inedible running through it, making it super tough. I had to return it. The mac and cheese was too rich but in a bad way. Not a fan of that stuff. And the lobster, crap and artichoke dip was like the mac in cheese, too rich but not good. The beer prices are pretty steep as well. I won't be going back to this overrated place.
