IN TOWN FOR A CONVENTION...? TRY THIS PLACE! VERY VERY GOOD!

Masala, Spices of India, located on Fifth Avenue by the Convention Center is now my favourite Indian Restaurant in the World....this truly is a gem and simply the ULTIMATE in fine Indian Cuisine. I travel all over the World and only dine at the finest. Before I came for business to San Diego, I researched on the web for an upscale restaurant in San Diego. So many claim that they are the best but I discovered the others were copies and fake...the best ones were Masala, Monsoon and Bombay in Hillcrest by far.

CONGRATULATIONS on your twenty years in the business. Also Congratulations to Executive Chef Ashley for being the top Indian Chef in San Diego. My family and I love your drop dead gorgeous restaurants and food. Simply the Best Indian in USA.

Best in town. Regular here. No one even comes close to these restaurants.

We tried this place on a friend's recommendation, but were terribly disappointed. We love Indian food and always get chicken tandoori, cheese naan, aloo mataar, and samosas, but the food here was unlike any other Indian food we've ever had, and not in a good way. Most frustrating was that we ordered to go without looking at the menu and despite that there are 3 specials containing the items we got for a much more decent price, we were charged full price for all items and the waiter didn't even suggest the specials on the menu. The tandoori chicken was flat out burned and even the rice wasn't right. I can see how people would like the atmosphere, but it doesn't even come close to making up for the poor cuisine. We'll be sticking to our other local options. If you're looking for good Indian food I would definitely recommend one of those over Masala.

You guys Rocked Hard at the Hard Rock Hotel Elderhelp party. We all loved your tasty food so much that we came back three times to eat. We will definitely come to eat at your restaurants. We heard so much great stuff about it.

Fabulous restaurant within walking distance of the Convention Center. This Indian cuisine restaurant with elegant decor hosted a Comic Con special menu. They pared down their menu to just a buffet ($15) and a short list of specialty drinks (non-alcoholic). I had the Wonder Woman, a mix of passion fruit, mango and other juices. Mmmmmm.

The Food at Masala was Fantastic. The Lunch buffet was exceptional for the price!!!!!

I thought I had the best Indian in London at Bombay Brasserie etc but was so shocked at the very high quality of cuisine, artistic presentation and amazing decor of your Monsoon Group of Restaurants. I am gonna spread the word around in London for sure. You guys should have Michelin Stars.
