Benedetto's Steakhouse, Punta Gorda

This place is the best. Food, Cocktails, Entertainment, Water View, it has it all. Just ask for Casey and tell her you are a friend of Rich.

Service has dramatically improved in the last 6 months. And their Lobster Tail 2 for 16.95 special and 10.95 16 oz Prime rib special are outstanding bargains since they are excellent values even when they are not on special. We also love their drings and the waterfront location.

We live in PG and have been here at least 4 times. We kept thinking maybe things would improve but were wrong. We only got aggravated every time. The only thing this place has going for it is the waterfront dining. Other than that, the service is awful and the food is not that great. One time the waiter forgot to put our order in. After waiting over an hour, we just left. Another time, we were waiting a the bar for them to call us for our table, but they never came for us. Don't waste your time or money at this awful place.

We have gone to Benedetto's quite a few times and it was always hit or miss. Recently it has been a huge miss. Our service is SLOW and the food portions are very small. We ordered recently, had our appetizer and after that was finished the waiter came to tell us the prime rib was gone. That was our only reason for going. It is horrible and has just gone down hill. We have taken it off our list of places to eat!

We go to Florida and Benedetto's twice a year and it is always FABULOUS, the waiters are always friendly (especially Richard). We have never had a bad meal or bad service. Tammy

We have been there many times , it is always hit or miss, on the service. The bartenders are understaffed and overworked. The outside bar should be looked at by the health dept. The son of the owner should stay far far away from the place. He is like a little spoiled child that knows nothing about customer service, ( this starts from the top ). The Food has always been pretty good. The 9.99 specials are a very good deal. The place simply lacks any good management.

On Friday December 11th, I along with my wife and two other couples had dinner at Benedettos Steakhouse. I come from a family that owns a rather large Italian restaurant/ function hall just north of Boston. I was somewhat skeptical of my friends choice as the reviews were rather mixed prior to our visit. The negatives ranged from dirty silverware, small portions of food to slow service. My experience was just the opposite as we found all of our eating utencels were spotless, the portions were good with the exception of a shrimp/steak combo that had a thin slice of beef as part of the combo. As for the service, it was exceptional thanks to Tim our server. He made the evening move along at just the right pace, paid attention to our needs and even thru in a few jokes. A return trip to Benedettos will be in our future plans.

DID THIS PLACE CLOSE FINALLY???? FIVE STARS...LOL, the staff was horrible the happy hour was a scam...overpriced for two drinks, no free refills, on coke or coffe and frozen deserts brought in from who knows??? The manager and main bartender are so rude to customers and service complaints...FINALLY GLAD THEY ARE GONE...it won t surprise me if they bury their debt and open up under a new name.

I went to Benedetto's for the first time on my trip to Florida a couple of weeks ago. We loved it so much we went back again for dinner that same week. The food is excellent, had prime rib one night, steak and shrimp the other, both delicious and well presented! The rolls are to die for too!! The salad could have been bigger but then I might not have been able to finish my main meal. We took home some cheese cake on our last night, again, delicious!! The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and prompt, and you can't beat their specials.... I paid $9.99 for both my entrees!! The main man behind Benedetto's was there the second night to greet people at the Reception desk, nice touch!! We'll go again and again on all our trips there, it's fantastic for eating outdoors in the good weather!!!
