I read the reviews about it & was a bit nervous about going since it has some bad reviews on Yahoo & Yelp, but I had a great experience. We went there for V-day and had a revservation. We only had a to wait a few minutes for our table to be ready. We had prompt & friendly service. We ordered the Toasted Raviolis for an app - very tasty. Our steaks were excellent - done perfectly as we ordered them. The only negative, would be their side dishes, we had the garlic mash & wild rice - both were bland. Everything was good, I would go back again.
I happen to love Johnny's. My friend an I enjoy traveling all over the state in search of a good steak. We have found very few, but Johnny's is one of the best we have found without spending a fortune.
I hate to be so crass and simplistic, but this...this place sucks.
Terrible service. The bartender couldn't figure out that a gimlet is not one part vodka to one part Rose's lime. I had to tell the guy THREE times. I mean, holy sex.
The bumbling idiot of a waitress took ten minutes to greet us and that was the high point, folks.
The fish was overdone and dry. Bleh.
The food is good, but the bar service is not. Waitstaff doesn't stop when our glasses are empty, we always have to flag them down, or go to the bar- which is always full. The service is not prompt. The seating in the bar is akward- there is some seating around the bar, but other than that, there are basically two big buffet granite tables right in the middle of the bar and eating area. It's not condusive for a small-crowd happy hour or gathering.
We had great service from start to finish and even though one of our parties requested a baked potato and the server said they didn't have one, another manager came up and said, you know what? I'll be I can find one for you' and next thing we knew she had a piping hot, huge baked potato for my friend.
Delicious food and friendly service for the lunch hour!
