Starboards is the perfect place for morning persons or any kind of persons! Coffee is served fresh and hot with a smile and mouth-watering baked goods are served fresh everyday. All sorts of drinks, snacks and lunch items are sold here as well. Located on the Portsmouth waterfront, Starboards opens early, offers a view of the Elizabeth River and serves up food and drinks seven days a week during the warmer months. Definitely a required stop in Old Towne Portsmouth. Five stars!!

I love Starboards! I d leave it at that, but people need details. :) David and Betsy own and operate the tiny kiosk by the Elizabeth River in Olde Towne Portsmouth. Coffee places are a dime a dozen, I ll be honest. BUT, there is something extra special about Starboards. You get your delicious and gotta-have-it! drinks of course, but at Starboards you ll be treated as a friend, always. Whether you re stopping by for a quick visit or there to sit and watch the boats, people and day go by, you ll leave with a smile on your face and a warm spot on your heart. I love their lattés and very much look forward to an iced coffee as the weather heats up! If you ve never been to Starboards and live in the are, you won t be disappointed with a visit to this tiny yet oh-so-big coffee shop! And besides, it s in Olde Towne! A beautiful place to see. :)

What can I say? It's all good! I've been a friend and patron of Starboards since 2005. The consistent quality of the delicious coffee is exceeded only by the hospitality and the view of the Elizabeth River at High Street Landing is spectacular. If you're looking for quality fresh coffee and convivial conversation pay a visit to Starboards. It's well worth a fun ferry ride from Norfolk! Hope to meet you there soon!

I have to go to Starboards at least twice a week to get my coffee fix. Not only do they have the best hot coffee they have the best Iced Coffee made with Coffee Cubes not Iced Cubes that water your coffee down but cubes made of coffee. If you don't like coffee they have Teas and Lemonaids that are pleasantly delightful. Join them in the summer for all of local events and join them in the winter for all the wonderfall winter events. Remember Santa visits Starboards every year and allows every child even the furry ones a chance to hang out with him for the day.

My favorite coffee stop traveling the ICW! What a great find. You can pull your boat into the High Street basin and your just steps away from the Kiosk. Great people and real southern hospitality there in Portsmouth.
