Todai Restaurant, Westminster

My parents just came back recently from an oversea business trip. So I thought that it would be nice to spend our quality family dinner over at Todai Westminster, California. Just right when we entered the restaurant, there was a young gentleman greeted us:�Irassaimase! Table for 3?� I answered yes, and the gestured to us to wait at the other corner and someone would be right with us. So, we went ahead and sat down at the chairs that been laid out at that corner. Our waiting time was around 10 minutes. During that time, the 2 team leaders, Maggie Lee and Kyle, walked in and out, passed us at least 4 times total. However, none of them acknowledged our presence. Even though I was starring at them both, there was no eye contact in return. Was that how team leaders, managers on duty should act? And certainly, the Restaurant did not provide an extra mile services. I know there would be time that the Restaurant is swamped with customer, that was why we sat down and waited patiently. Is it not the managers� job to make sure that everything was under controlled, and going smoothly? It only takes 10 seconds up most just to say: �Hi! How are you?� or �Have you been helped?� or �I am so sorry for your waiting, but I will be right you� It turned out that the young gentleman that greeted us �warmly� at the beginning also did not inform his managers about our party. And as I mentioned, each manager have made contact to him at least twice every time he/she walked out to the desk. How irresponsible! A Caucasian couple showed up, and got served right away. They were about to be seated by Kyle when I stopped them and said that I was there first. That man finalized our already awful night by a racist comment, and ruined it all. He went: �This is America; you have to stand up to wait to be seated� I walked out of the Restaurant, and called the Restaurant back. Kyle told me that it was my fault leaving the Restaurant, and he was too busy to notice us.
