We went there for dinner on a Friday nt, arriving about 6:30. The wait staff were excellent- prompt with bringing the waters and asking if we wanted any drinks/appetizers, and helpful with additional infor regarding items I had questions about. And then our waiter moved away to give us time, watching for when we were ready. The food was very impressive, in both the presentation, and more importantly the flavors- the taste. I highly recommend. The owner was going thru the room, greeting those he knew, and stopped by and asked how our meal was. Bellisimo!
There are a few authentic Italian restaurants around. Barolos is one of those but with a nice outdoor garden. Met the owner and everyone during my experience there seemed nice. I'd go back except now I am a student again.
A wonderful incredible but a bit on the pricey side. A five star experience for sure. It is hard to find this style of Italian outside of Manhattan's Little Italy district or even in the finer restaurants in Italy. We had to go back twice in one week. It is located in the 1st floor of an incredible looking 1870 hotel. The décor is totally amazing.
The first visit we started with minestrone soup. It was a chicken bean based soup. A very nice way to start off the meal. My better half had the chicken parmesan and I had the linguini with fresh seafood. Everything was cooked perfectly. The linguini was cooked perfectly al-Dante and the spicy red sauce was to die for. My better half rarely finishes her meals, but not that night. I tasted her chicken parmesan and her fresh spinach side. Just plain yummy.
So we had to go back again but it was because we saw what the pizza looked like. Well they only sever the pizza Thursday through Sunday so my better half had the pan fried beef filet. I do not think you could find a more tender beef because it cannot get tenderer. You could almost look at it and it would cut itself. I had the clam chowder which has to be the world’s best and the veal with sun dried tomatoes, Prosciutto and mozzarella cheese in a white wine sauce. All I can say is wow.
We meet the owners who are very nice people. She is Portuguese from the Azores Islands and he is from Italy. Really nice people
I would highly recommend Barolo. A wonderful experience.
