Sea Swirl of Mystic was formerly a street side Carvel Ice Cream shop. It is located at 30 Williams Avenue at the junction of Routes 1 & 27 in Connecticut. Sea Swirl offers the best of fried clams and fantastic seafood plus has one of the most beautiful sunsets on the horizon. Outdoor dining overlooks the flood tide and customers can enjoy delicious ice cream as well.
We have a cottage in Mystic and the Sea Swirl has been a staple for our ice cream fix for years. They have quite a variety and the soft serve is tasty; however, their workers this summer have left a bad taste with us because of their lousy attitudes. Not just once, but consistently through the summer, to the point that the last time we were there I opted for Hagen Daz from the local A & P. We found the servers rude, disinterested, and lacked any kind of interest in pleasing the customers - at times we felt like we were bothering them and they really didn't want to be waiting on anyone! The food is ok, but The Cove down the street is a little cheaper and much better!!
