This place doesn't believe in being pretentious; so the main concern is food and quality, if not fine dining. You can for once, forget about your tie not matching your attire and just relish simple cuisine with wine. Enjoy a wholesome meal of pasta, scallops, mac & cheese in the candle lit interiors while the regular office-goers continue with their banter. The friendly and courteous wait staff makes the experience more than worthwhile. So just sit back and enjoy your meal!

I saw the Lion King with my Dad this past weekend and we needed a quick dinner, this place was PERFECT! Adorably quaint, the food was delicious!!!! Small plates, so the (pompous) waiter recommended 3 plates, it was and $80 dinner, i had 2 glasses of wine, dad had a cocktail, 3 plates of YUMMY food and a shared salad...not bad if you ask me. I would go again for sure.

good for a quick bite, smaller dishes makes it easier to share . However, music from the bar makes it very difficult to carry on a conversation. it's puzzling to me why the music, not live, has to be so loud when meals are served also. We're eating and drinking , not dancing. Music adds nothing to the atmosphere. It's a negative.

Great Wine Menu

If you are looking for a great place to drink some cheap wine try The Ivy. All bottles under $26. Food is a little expensive for what you get, and the location is not to do for. All in all, relaxing atmosphere and great spot to have a couple glasses before the theatre.

this place is great. I cant wait to go see Dirty Dancing and then have dinner. The wine prices are super reasonable.

Tucked in between the Theater District and Downtown Crossing is this small overpriced restaurant that disappoints on all fronts failing to live up to its famous namesake on the left coast by a shocking wide gap. The service was horrible, the food lacked any inspiration and the decor was cold,dark and unpleasent.Perhaps Opera House attendees have limited options in a rush but I would recommend going anywhere but here.TERRIBLE

I love Italian food. This place is great. The service and the food were above average. I loved the atmosphere and the decor. The price is also reasonable.

I was here when it was limbo--limbo had better tables. Ivy's good if you want to eat quickly before the theater. The last two times I've been here, they've sat me under the stair--not where I want to be eating.

downstairs cava lounge is good for a group gathering - italian food served tapas style is good for group sharing
