My daughter and I chose this place totally at random, because we were staying in the West End on our final night in Dallas before she had to head back to school (she did an internship in Dallas for the summer).
WOW. What a great place. The Margaritas were outstanding. The appetizer dish (camarón y cangrejos ennegrecidos) featuring brown rice, shrimp and crawfish in a galic sauce was incredible. My daughter had fish tacos and I had an enchilada. Both were good, but the appetizer was great.
The service was very good, and the owner stopped by to see if we were happy. We had a very warm feeling about the place, and we enjoyed it very much.
OH My Goodness... I wasn't really in the mood for Mexican Food when I walked in there but I kept an open mind and I was blown away. Starting with the hot and spicy salsa...it wasn't enough to drive me away from it but it was enough to make my nose run and want some water. It was delish!
I order Tacos and they were wonderful. Although I expected to get a typical taco with meat, cheese, lettuce and so but it came out with just meat and cheese and I was surprised with how much flavor it boasted. It came with a side of refried beans (which I usually hate) but they were also wonderful, slightly creamier than normal but they drew in a wonderful garlic accent with some additional spices I couldn't put my toungue on.
The atmosphere was lovely and the staff was wonderful and a delight, RJ even opened the door for us. Even though it was raining, they opened up the patio for us so we could have a drink out there and be able to smoke. I would definately revisit them and I would recommend it to anyone.
This was by far one of the worse restaurants I have ever been. The wait staff was slow and not very knowledgeable or helpful. One of the kids in our party of 6 ordered french fries. It took 10 minutes to get ketchup and it was spoiled and soured. The bathrooms were disgusting, smelly and gross. Even the sink was stopped up and about to overflow with water. It took 15 minutes for a manager to come talk to me. The General Manager Jay Khan wasn’t concerned or apologetic. He even rolled his eyes when I was express health concerns about the spoiled ketchup. NEVER COMING BACK!!! Stay away from this place, there are plenty of better places to spend your money.
The best service I've had in a long time! After a terrible expierience at a resturant across the street we walked in last minute at closing and they took us in and were amazing! Food and drinks were awesome too.
Going to eat here next time we are in town: I really liked this restraunt. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. The interior decore had a nice feel to it. Even though there was a birthday party there at the same time I ate. It didn't feel loud or bothersome, nor were we ignored by the staff
SO so good!: At first I was nervouse about eating at RJ's because it looked so fancy I was afraid it would be crazy expensive, but it really wasn't. The waiters and staff were fabulous and the food was delicious. I loved the queso. It sounds silly but they really made their queso like an entree. Also their quesodillas are amazing!
