Havana Central Times Square, New York

i'm going to start by saying that i know everybody has there own opinion of what is good or bad. that being said mine is going to be bad. i had made reservations so we did not have to wait for a table but that is were the good stopped had to wait about 15 min for someone to come to our table.to get our drink order (ice tea 3.00$ no free refills). ordered apps came pretty quick. but our main dishes a 45 minute wait food looked good but ICE COLD took a long time to see our server to let him know. when he returned with the manager he said he would replace all the food with all new dishes we are now on 1hr on 15 min the next food came in 12 min but was just as cold.we did not say anything else because by that time we are at about 1hr and a 1/2 took everything to go. manager would not discount the bill. was trying to offer free drinks or desert but after such a long and disapointing night no thank you. will not be back.

My girlfriend lives around the corner from Havana Central, so the last few times I've been to visit we've eaten there. I live in Tampa, FL so we have some of the best Cuban food around, but I have to say I LOVE Havana Central from the Oxtail to the Paella to my Absolute fav the Cuban Corn on the Cob!!! I think it depends on what you order because the 1st time I ate there I didn't like everything on the menu, however after trying new things I was pleasantly surprised!!

My friends and I went to lunch to Havana Central. I ordered Shrimp ceviche which was a tad on the dry side. It look like its been refrigerated for a while and not mix with the other ingredients. I was excited about eating a classic cuban sandwich and I was so disappointed. The pork(pernil) was dry and tough. The best part of the meal was dessert tres leche cake. My firend share her calmari and that was excellent.

We had a great dining experience. Everything was great...the atmosphere, the food, and especially the service! Started off with chicken, beef, and shrimp empananas and my friend had avocado stuffed with shrimp. We drank champagne sangria that was delicious - very tasty and fruity. For our entree, I had oxtail stew and she had the red snapper. Dessert was tres leches cake - absolutely delicious. The wait for a table wasnt long and the place was very crowded yet there was enough wait staff to accommodate. They played live music that added to our dining experience. I highly recommend this place and will be returning!

I love Cuban food and Havana Central is one of my favorite places to get Cuban food. the service is excellent and the food is a bit on the slow side.. but i overlook it because everything else is so worth it.

This resturant is a great, central spot - I really enjoyed everything we ordered. The Sangria stood out!! As for the mojitos, I was a bit disappointed. I saw another posting saying they were the best ever had. I found they had an extra ingredient (possibly lemonade?) that I didn't care for. I like my mojitos clear rather than cloudy :D Anyway, 5 thumbs up on this place.

had a great experience at havana central. The empanadas, picadillo and tres leches were all amazing. The mojitos were also the best i've ever had. my friends I took there were very pleased with the fun atmosphere and food.

This was the first time we had Cuban food. Wow! My wife had 'arros con pollo' and I had 'ropa vieja', both of us were pleased with the quality and quantity of the food. We both also enjoyed some adult beverages, she enjoyed her 'mojitos' and I enjoyed the 'hatuey' beer. We also enjoyed our appetizers and dessert. The entire restaurant staff from the hostess', bartenders and waiters were wonderful. Great food. Huge portions.

Authentic Cuban cuisine at its best! Also a great for after-work dining/unwinding. You can't go wrong with any of the menu selections and the bartenders must come from bartender heaven! So far, they make the best mojito in the city. Great choice for Cuban cuisine!
