Sukhothai, Mountville

Hands down the best Thai restaurant in Lancaster . They have recently moved from Mountville to Downtown Lancaster adjacent to the Lancaster Arts Hotel. The BYOB option is defiantly a plus. We enjoy the green apple salad, coconut rice, and as previously posted their calamari is unlike any other extremely fresh and tender, but no matter your entrée choice you will not be disappointed. Fair warning, they can get busy on Friday and Saturday nights, I would strongly recommend making a reservation.

Probably our favorite casual restaurant in town. Love the atmosphere, variety and quality of food, and the fact it is BYOB. Mango salad and the seafood dish (with calamri) are our favs.

Sukhothai is one of Lancaster's gems hidden just outside the city near Mountville. It is definitely worth visiting and features some of the most delicious Thai cuisine this vegetarian has ever tasted. The rice rolls are a favorite appetizer because they are light and fresh and there are plenty to share. Meat-eating friends also rave about the calamari. I particularly enjoy the various curry dishes (red,brown, and green) which feature bright, fresh vegetables and plenty of decadent coconut milk sauce. Soups are also unique and wonderful...a friend of mine always orders the Tom Yum and is pleased every time. The atmosphere is a step up from most asian-themed restaurants, with attractive art and lighting that only adds to the experience. Sukhothai is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining in and I am always satisfied with the food, service, and cleanliness of the place. A must-visit destination for any asian food enthusiast! 5 stars!

Nice: I went yesterday evening for dinner. The menu looks slightly more expensive than a standard Thai restaurant. Nice ambience, friendly service. I ordered a tilapia dish which was pretty good. Slightly low on spices. They ask you to rate your spicyness preference on a scale of 1 to 10. I chose 7 to be safe. However that was really mild. If you like some amount of spice and I don't mean the flaming hot type, definitely choose above 7.
