I tried it on a whim and was surprised at how good it was to eat there. The steaks are GREAT and the shrimp are good as any place I've been. For the price you can't beat it. I will tell everyone that asks to try it. Again it's GREAT!
I was impressed with the fact they served steak so I though I would try it out. The steak was real cheap and tough and all of the items of the buffet were not looking very good. The salads area due to their presentation setup made it so when you took salad dressing from one the dressings further back in the display unless you were strategic you would end up dripping in the dressings up front. Some of the front dressings I couldn't tell what it initially was supposed to be (Ranch, Thousand Island or Italian?). It would be better if you could get a drink when you wanted it rather than waiting on a server and when they seat you in the restaurant you are spaced so closely together you are bumping into the person behind you and if you need to get up you have to wait for them to get up. I thought the first time was just a fluke and have been back a few more times and get the same. Go to Chuck-a-Rama where you aren't piled in tight, where you can actually get a drink when you want it and where there aren't nearly hte presentation issues Golden Corral has. How GC has stayed open with such a shabby operation is beyond me.
