Monsoon on the Square, Prescott

Very good! The best sushi i have ever had! I have no idea what that guy on the top is talking about, it is very good!

Mediocre food. Poor service. Granted, they were short-staffed the last evening we were there, but not great even when fully-staffed. I believe most people who think this is great food may have never had Japanese cuisine anywhere else. Yes, the Teppan Yaki Tables are fun. Sushi is not very good. On the other hand, Esoji further down on Gurley is pricey, but surprisingly excellent considering the nearest ocean is 400 miles away.

EXCELLENT! Service was five star. All the food is prepared perfectly. The sushi is extremely fresh. This is an incredible restaurant.

Fantastic Cuisine !! This place NEVER lets us down. My wife, Pia and I visit as often as we can, and feel lucky to have such an eatery in our back yard. The sushi shines, and the variety of it allows a different take on every visit. The adult beverages are spectacular as well.This place is among the best in the State, not just this beautiful city. The menu is tight, and is served with a smile every time ! If you love asian food, Monsoon is somewhere you need to go..

My wife and I drive to Prescott from the valley at least once every two months to eat at the Monsoon. We love the sushi and the choice of meals. I have never had a bad meal or left unsatisfied from the Monsoon.

Management and ownership such as what's on display at Monsoon is something that should be outlawed. Our server, bless her heart, was innandated with far too many tables for a Sunday evening. Our table ordered our rolls and after an average wait, were given a collection of rolls that we did not order. Our server tried her hardest to get our order corrected while her manager stood around and verbally assaulted her. He never assisted her or even checked on us once. The sushi was very good. We will never go back to Monsoon; it just seems wrong to support an establishment who treats its staff so poorly. As we began to leave, he did prove he could speak by telling us that they've treated people far worse. Bad joke from a bad man.

As someone who came to Monsoon from out of town and was looking for a good sushi stop, Monsoon definitely DID NOT impress. The moment I stepped in, I was disappointed. The restaurant 'specializes' in far too many different kinds of cuisines, so much so that they fail to get even the simplest dishes right. This is definitely not a good place to go if you're looking for authentic food. After all, even the sushi chefs were only young kids. Monsoon definitely isn't Asian food, not even Asian-American. It's a lazy attempt at East Asian cuisine that was unfortunately, a complete failure. However, to those naive of what actual East Asian food is, Monsoon could be considered a good stop.
