We made a reservation for a Saturday night at 7 and the place was not too busy. The grounds and building are very beautiful and it is clear that a lot of work went into rennovating the building. The food was adequate and satisfactory but it did not stand out as anything remarkable. The wine list is very good. We both enjoyed the pumpkin seed encrusted salmon. The creme brulee was runny and clearly not prepared by a person with knowledge of how to make it properly. The main complaint was that the service was horrible. The water glasses were empty most of the night as was the bread basket. The waiter could not have been too busy as they were not even at half capacity. We rarely saw our waiter and when we did we would have to remind him of the last several things we had requested that he has still failed to bring to us. After dinner he brought us another table's bill and did not seem too concerned that he had made the mistake. The other group in our room were making jokes with us that they had not seen their waiter either and they did not seem pleased with the service either. I would recommend this as a place to have a drink by the river on a pleasant evening but save your food money for a good restaurant with a pleasant and dilligent wait staff.
