Good selection, BUT you never know how the food is going to be cooked. Many times is too salty and greasy. Sometimes it has spices like sage in grilled seafood that don't go well. The fried rice is horrible. If you order to go, make sure you check the order, specially if you asked for specs like no onions.
My husband and I loved this restaurant. It was recommended by the front desk at our hotel. I am a huge fan of snow crab legs, and they did not dissappoint. My husband had a sampler type of plate and he was very pleased as well.
Friendly service and family welcome. We will go again the next time we visit Victoria.
What a nice find! My wife, daughter, close friend and I spent the weekend in Victoria. Baytown Seafood Restaurant was a suggestion made by someone we met in town. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff was VERY friendly to us. Wes, our waiter was exceptional and gave us very personal treatment - we even met his room mate! We tried the Mexican shrimp cocktail. The shrimps were plump and firm; cooked perfectly before being smothered with a yummy mixture of tomatoes, onion, avocado, and cocktail sauce. My friend and I had the whole, fried flounder. The fish was delicate and moist. The batter was a very light coating and although it was fried, did not seem greasy at all. My wife had the grilled salmon; it was moist and juicy. Shannon likes her salmon pretty rare, which is sometimes a tricky request, but it was cooked just right. Her dish came with crawfish etoufee and all of us tried it. We agreed that it was some of the best we'd had. The onion rings were fantastic too! The portions were huge and the price was very modest. We spoke to the owner, who was very friendly. We can't wait to get there again!
the food is great but they need to get rid of that waiter they have.he is absolutely rude!he acts like he doesnt want to be there and he doesnt want to work.they will very much so lose customers with this guy
