Ruth's Chris Steak House, Roseville

The only thing they got right was the soup. Caesar salad had way too much dressing. When we asked for half as much it was sent back with the dressing on the side and no cheese. There was no way to mix the dressing on the plate. The Potato au Gratin was luke warm at best and not very good. And to the steaks... Hers was a Med-Well New York. His was a Medium Filet. Both came out Med-Rare at best, probably closer to rare. This is mostly because they cut the steaks way too thick for how it was supposed to be cooked. Back to the kitchen and the steaks come back almost black on the outside. Hers was almost inedible because of the amount of fat within the meat. I understand marbling of fat, but there was still a considerable amount of fat in the steak, not just along the edge. His came back better but not acceptable for the price. Like I said earlier, almost black on the top and bottom. For all of this we were offered a free desert which was turned down.

Best steaks around here. great atmosphere, excellent service. Highly recommended.

A very good evening out for dinner! My wife and I took advantage of the three-course meal special. We both had the 6 oz fillet with jumbo shrimp, two sides and desert for $39.95 per meal. The two side to got were the mash potatoes and creamed spinach. The steak was very nice served on a very hot, steaming plate! The two side were very generous in portion... plenty to share for two! Now, the restaurants secret to the great tasting food is the butter! ...and they use lots of it ...in sides and the steak was swimming in it! who can't resist the taste of buttered food! ...unhealthy? ...oh, live a little! At a regular cost of $80, you're not gonna eat at Ruth's everyday!!! Anyways, back to the restaurant... our server was really good! We told her that it was our first visit and she took care of us. Our server explained how our food was served and recommend we share the sides...the restaurant even encourages it! To finish off the meal was the fantastic two-cup desert... very nice! The entire experience was excellent ...will do again! err, I meant maybe whenever they have the special again, that is. ;) ...I have only one complaint, the noise level was a little high for my ears... similar to a Romano's Macaroni Grill restaurant!

Super service, really good food. The staff was very good at working with my time schedule, food was excellent and take home bags were well packaged with care. Had a great dinner next day with the leftovers.

Best steak I ever had in my life. I went to the restaurant and ordered the ribeye and it tated like heaven. I usually hate fat in my steak, but they cooked the steak so perfect it tasted like excellent steak, and the fat was crisp like bacon. It was the best meal I ever had. I suggest you treat your self the the ultimate steak house.

Excellent! BY FAR THE BEST AROUND! My boyfriend and I go here for special occasions. Absolutely amazing! recommend to everyone! excellent service, great atmosphere, and amazing filet mignon!!!!! I recommend to go with someone special!

This not a good place if you are on a diet. My wife and I have been several times and I have to say the food is very good and very rich! They use enough butter on evrything to keep the dairy industry working overtime. The drinks are great and the desserts are just as addicting as everything else and the wine list should keep all the wine snobs happy. This is without question the steak house to judge all others by. It is quite pricey but a real treat for special occasions.

Really good food, outstanding service. I would say that the steaks at Austin's are better, but the service at Ruth's Chris is miles ahead. The sweet potatoes are a must have, and you can't really go too wrong with anything on the menu.
