I've eaten at the Green Olive Restaurant... 3 times? Twice for breakfast and once for dinner. The food is great. It comes in nice portions, even half portions if you want them. Everything is generally cooked the way I like it. The reason why it's not getting 5 stars?
- The first time I had breakfast there, we found a little piece of some sort of mystery meat (sausage?) in my sister's orange juice. The waitress playfully blamed it on the new machine they got for the orange juice, but it's a little fishy to me.
- The third time I went there, for dinner, was fine. Food was great, until the end... there was a long black hair in my friend's pasta. Neither of us have black nor long. We decided to leave our leftovers there, which is pretty self-explanitory.
Other than that, it's very good. I plan on taking my dad there this Father's Day to give it another try! I mean, breakfast was pretty good after all.
My wife and I eat at the Green Olive most Friday nights. The food has always been top notch - especially the seafood - the service mostly very good. We are fans. In Bridgeton, it is right there with the Coach Room, but we like the BYOB aspect - and the atmosphere better at the Green Olive. .
We have dined at The Green Olive Restaurant many times. It is a consistantly great place to dine!
My wife's high school class reunion has been held there twice, (the last two years), so far and will be held there in 2010.
I can tell you that the Green Olive were EXTREMELY eager to help in any way, to make the reunion a success.
A HUGE success it has been and thanks to the Green Olive, the entire class was extremely please with the food, the service and the general attitutude of the entire Green Olive organization.
They really want to make your visit to be exceptional, every time, whether it's dinner for two, a large group or a class reunion.
John & Maryellen Baitinger,
I loved my dining experience at Green Olive. I took my mother there for her birthday. I had steak and she had pasta w/ chicken and shrimp. The service was excellent and the dessert selection is superb. It really is this area's best kept secret.
My husband and I started to dine at the Green Olive a few years ago and have never had a bad experience. Servers are always friendly and try to ensure you have an enjoyable visit. The food is always prepared fresh and comes out hot/seasoned correctly. The deserts are excellent; I highly recommend the Cheesecake Factor Banana Fosters cheesecake. The owners (Abe and Barry) have always been friendly and eager to please. With all of the new improvements to the restaurant it really adds a lot to the City of Bridgeton. I highly recommend The Green Olive Restaurant to anyone. If you want personal service, enjoyable atmosphere, wonderful food stop by the Green Olive. We are very happy they came to the Bridgeton area.
I honestly have to say that this is one of the best restaurants in Cumberland County. Both owners, Barry and Abraham are always courtious. I have been going there for several years, never had a single complaint. The food is always prepared properly, tastefully, and served perfectly. I definitely recommend Green Olive to ALL my friends and family! Keep up the excellent job!
