The food was decent, but our waitress was terrible. Waited 15 minutes to be waited on, a half hour for breakfast food, and another 20 minutes for the check. It wouldn t have been so bad if she wouldn t have been on the phone the entire time we were there. If not for the other waitress that was WORKING, we would still be waiting for a drink refill. Then when she realized that we were not happy, she started making excuses for her poor performance. Too little, too late. Tip = ZERO!
Excellent breakfast. Biscuits and gravy were loaded with sausage and my Santa Fe omelet was prepared with plenty of veggies and ham. Pleasantly surprised at the quality. Outdoor porch and exterior is nice and the inside atmosphere was rather sparse, but clean and welcoming. Would definitely return.
Fabulous little restaurant! Great food, great service fantastic atmosphere. Will be returning on our next trip. The one thing I've learned about the OBX and eating out...for our family of four, expect to pay at least $40 for lunch / dinner. We have not done breakfast out on the OBX so we can't review for breakfast menus. Every place we've been has been very well worth the $ and Oceana's was our least expensive bill, with awesome food.
This place was excellent, probably the best dining experience of our trip. My family and I went for breakfast, and though there was no kids specials for breakfast meals, the meals weren't overly pricey. I had the Seafarers Omelette, which was a Crab and Parmesan omelette, and it was fantastic. The waitress was great, and told us alot about the area and even suggested things to do, such as crabbing and clamming. I would recommend this place to anyone for a good breakfast meal.
My husband and I weren't sure about this place when we walked in. It is really small...I think there were only 7 tables and a bar. The tables were full. There were two waitresses working...mother and daughter. And they were running around. So entertaining. But the service ended up being excellent and the food was great. We highly recommend stopping in. We were on a two week honeymoon and had eaten at a lot of places, and Oceana Bistro is the place we remember most.
Ocean Bistro appears to be a well kept secret. Our family has eaten here twice in as many days and each time our meal exceeded expectations. Most recently we enjoyed the prime rib and quesadillas which followed our appetizer of sesame encrusted tuna. All were fabulous. Try the Oceana Bistro and you will not be disappointed
I visited the Oceana's in July of 2006 with my Fiance, and found that the food, service and atmosphere we all together a great experience. We had walked in on some karaoke and took in the many versions of songs that the other patrons had put their own twist on. We loved the quaint beachy feel of the lounge and do plan on revisiting one of my favorite places in the OBX next summer. I really recomend taking your party to the Oceana's for a great time.
