Fish tacos that are to die for. The fresh fruit drinks are very good also. Actually it's all good. As far as ambience goes wait 'til you see their new digs down the street in front of the new movie theatre at 186 Maple St. (Corner of First and Maple)

Our first visit to El Charro Taqueria was a couple of months ago and it was a pleasant experience. The ambiance was better than your run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant and they even have outdoor seating. We tried the taco salad al pastor and the shrimp fajitas...both were delicious and filling (what Mexican food isn't?) The taco salad was filled to the top with goodies and the shell was crispy and fresh. The fajitas came with 6 shrimp and the typical accompaniments like red, yellow and green bell peppers, grilled onions, beans and rice. My input on a little room for improvement: the shrimp could have had more flavor, as they were a little on the bland side. I added some salsa to my fajita tortilla filled with shrimp, peppers, onions, beans and rice and that made it taste pretty good.

THIS SMALL WHOLE IN THE WALL IS A GREAT PLACE TO EAT. IT IS FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED, SERIOUSLY! THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD AND FRESH. THEY HAVE NO MSG OR PRESERVATIVES AND I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I AM ALLERGIC AND WOULD KNOW WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF EATING. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DRESS UP AND CAN EVEN BRING YOUR DOG AND EAT OUTSIDE AND ENJOY THE DOWNTOWN CROWD. TRY IT, YOU'LL LOVE IT!! FROM THEIR FAVORITE AND LOYAL CUSTOMER. :)

Super friendly service! Personal attention. Daily specials that are authentic. The enchiladas and chili rellanos are outstanding. Great prices too. These folks remember who the customer is. Not like at Casa Orozco.... You can eat outside too. Take out too.

The food is better and the price is better. Go to Casa for the ambience, come here for the food.
