Celia's Mexican Restaurant, Sacramento

I haven't been to their sister locations in the Bay Area, but my husband and I discovered this restaurant a few months ago here in Sacramento, and loved it! The food is great, and the portion sizes are large. We are going there at least once a month now. A two item combo averages about $9.00, and the larger specialty dishes like fajitas or pollo en crema are about $12.00. Also they have a full bar menu and daily specials. The service isn't bad, it just isn't great either. I have asked for special orders on occasion and had no problem with them changing the dish around or adding things for me. I have heard that they have a large meeting room in the back, but haven't checked it out yet. The menu also includes hamburgers and fries and a kids menu, but I havne't tried those items.

I have eaten at Celia's in San Rafael for years. They have the same menu and I always order the same meal. I went to this location in Sacramento, and the meal I always order was completely different. It was supposed to be on a bed of rice with melted cheese, and instead, it was a soupy mess. I complained to the waitress and she did not even try to accomodate me. I will never go back there again. It was not a pleasant experience!!!!!!!
