We tried Zin for the first time today. The food was average . Of the dishes we ordered, the shrimp scampi was excellent. The lobster soup needed a lot of improvement. The pizza was cheesy and the tiramisu was stale. This is one restaurant which we would not consider frequenting again. The ambience was good and the beer great.. The food forgettable .. Wish i could get a refund..
The food is great but we won't be patronizing this restaurant anymore because many of the younger waitresses are way too friendly with our husbands. . . touching, flirting, speaking only to them, etc. Maybe they think that's how to get tips? Too irritating and we wives have had enough.
a group of us took a co-worker to lunch for her birthday on 7-19-10 and we decided to go to Zin- Waiter was slow for everything including soda- waited 15 minutes for the bill, the bday girl ordered a chicken calazone and there was no chicken in it at all... the others ordered the Cuban sandwich which was ok but a little too dry. The creme brulee had no flavor.
on the way out the store manager was at the bar and didnt acknowledge us on the way out; not even a thank you for coming or a come again!
will not go back!
My girlfriend and I checked out Zin last month and had the best time. The atmosphere and decor is first class - reminds me of an upscale California spot in San Francisco or Napa Valley. Expect to sip on a glass of wine by the bar or in the upstairs lounge for 30 minutes before your table is ready. We had a relaxing time before being led to our table. The green mussels appetizer was fabulous. Our entre's were equally delightful; the presentation quality is excellent. We also found the staff to be delighted to please - isn't that different? If you are out to impress that special someone...Zin is definately a dining destination that you'll want to explore. My friend and I are inviting another couple to join us at Zin for a fun dining experience this weekend...that says it all.
