Whatever you do, don't eat there on a holiday weekend, and don't show up with a party bigger than 3. My family was in Rockport for my sis's wedding and a group of 15 of us went. They told us when we got there @ 8:10pm that they could accomodate us. They told us after we were seated that they were a little short on waiters but someone would be by shortly. WRONG!!! We waited for 45 minutes for someone to get our drink order after other people who got there after us were served. We waited another 30 minutes for our drinks. We asked for the manager, and we had 3 different people say they were the manager, including the busboy. We finally placed our order after waiting for over an hour. By 10:45pm, we still hadn't seen our food. As it turns out, they kept pushing smaller parties' orders ahead of ours. We finally left starving and upset that there was no one with enough customer service skillsthat would take the initiative to bank on a great tip. Extremely disappointed with everything about this restaurant and will NEVER go back.
The place is adorable. We have a second home in Rockport and have visited with the manager several times - they make everything from scratch - right down to the seasoning on their burgers. If you're looking for a local place with great atmosphere right on the water this it the place. We love to go over in the middle of the afternoon when they aren't really busy and sit on the patio and drink beer. Their portions are HUGE so you get a great value on everything. They even have barbeque that's done on site in a big smoker.
I so wanted to love this place! The atmosphere is great but that s where it ends. The food was just passable (and cold as well!) and the service was non-existant! And on top of that they refused to honor our Restaurant.com certificate. Wil not return and certainly wouldn t recommend.
Excellent food with a happy waiting staff. The busiest time for any eating establishment is lunch, between 11:30 and 3:00, and dinner, between 6:00 and 8:30. If the parking lot is full and continuing down the street, then expect a wait, just like everyone else. If you can't wait to get their unique food, then go to whataburger.
We LOVE Moon Dog's. We lived in Corpus for 5 years and went over at least every other weekend during daylight savings time. Having a great drink and FABULOUS food while the sun is setting over the water and the boats are coming and going creates such a relaxing expeience. We have missed it greatly and are planning vacation so that we can go by there on our way.
We ate here twice in one week because of the friendly staff and the great food! As first time Winter Texans we toured around the area before choosing a place to eat. Because this one is right on the marina, we expected good seafood, and we weren t disappointed. The cheerful waitress recommended the brisket nachos, and they were so differently delicious! She also recommended the extra crispy shrimp, and my husband was in love! The second night I had the sesame crispy tuna steak and enjoyed every bite. The in house made key lime pie was like none I d ever had, almost like a cheese cake and delicately sweet-tangy lime flavored.
Break away from the daily grind without breaking the bank. The Surf Court Motel is right at water's edge, overlooking
beautiful Aransas Bay in downtown Rockport. We are a family oriented motel, just a short walk from local shopping ...
