Tasty Garden Restaurant, Alhambra

Pretty good food & service. Somewhat authentic in cantonese flavors at reasonable prices. Been here numerous times and plan to return unless they mess up big time!

The food was ok but after we paid the bill and 5 dollar tip and the server came ask us if we want to order other stuff because there have other people waiting for a table. But me and my friend were still in a middle of conversation.After 3 minutes later the server came back again want us to leave. I spoke to the manager and told him that this is rudest restaurant I have ever been to. He said that I sat at the table for a long time.(I think form 9:10 to 10:20 is a normal dinning out time with friends). I asked him is there a such written rule in this restaurant that how long can a customer can sit at the table? He said we have the right not serve anyone. But we just paid!!! And he turned around and call other customer. This is a good business restaurant but i think they forgot they have the business because of us----the customers. I think when you dining out you shouldn't be treated this way. There are so many chinese restaurant in this area so there are plenty of other choices.But if you really have to go this place I suggest you don't pay them unless you are really have to go. Otherwise you might get kick out like me.

I love the food there. however like ther other reviews mentioned, the service isn't all there. But what do you expect for an Asian area. I suggest taking the food togo to avoid the horrible service.

I do admit most of the food there were good (taste wise). But after going there twice, their services are the poorest of many restaurants. The waitresses always threw down the food and drinks. Both times I ate here, they forgot an order and it never comes until we mentioned it. I ordered a special type of rice, but they never brought it because it wasn't even available anymore, but they didn't even inform me and just expected me to charge for something that never came! Besides the service, their chicken still had feathers on them. And I'm not talking about the transparent follicles. I'm talking about the brown and orange feathers that were originally on the chicken. And this wasn't only once, it was twice my friend ordered the chicken. A pretty nasty sight. After the first time, we were just being forgiving of the bad service, but twice was enough to know. Their drinks are good but it's not a good enough reason to be a customer there ever again.
